Finished reading the novel. My personal rating: 9/10. Easily made it into my top 10 Chinese novels I’ve ever read. The translation is kinda rough though, so if you wanna read it, just search it on Google. At first it was confusing af, but since I’m already a pro at reading MTL, my brain can auto-correct all the messed up translations 🤣
The available translation only goes up to Chapter 1945, but I feel like there should be more than that. Should I just learn Chinese at this point lol? Maybe the raw version has more chapters after 1945.
Anyway, up until Chapter 1945 (confirmed legit):
Only Wife:
- Princess Lin’an (the only woman Qi’an officially married)
Dao Companion:
- Luo Yuheng
Concubines/Mistresses:
- Mu Nanzhi
- Empress Huaiqing
- Yeji (Fu Xiang)
- Ming Yu (Love Gu master — it’s actually unclear whether she officially ended up with Qi’an or not, but Qi’an did promise to take her as a concubine)
- Susu (probably ended up with Qi’an too? Again, nothing was clearly mentioned in the chapters I read up to 1945, but Qi’an promised to rebuild her body and make her his concubine)
Idk about the other girls like Zhong Li, Li Miaozhen, or Caiwei. Zhong Li and Miaozhen definitely have feelings for Qi’an, but as of Chapter 1945, they still didn’t end up with him.
Ling Yue (the younger cousin girl) ended up becoming a nun and didn’t marry anyone.
