Yep, pretty crap if you ask me, especially when you consider his lover becoming a tree and becoming the life force of the divine city. What a dumpster fire of an ending for a 536 chapter novel with a very edgy MC. The last line on the last page of the novel speaks for itself: "This stone tablet records the path of cultivation, the path to godhood!" The end! Like, what? That 's it?

The author pushed romance pretty heavily for the last few chapters between the MC and Duan Ya. You would think there would at least be a marriage, but nope! just her becoming a divine tree, finding strange energy beneath her roots, telling the MC about it, and him being like, yeah, let's check it out. They then go a thousand plus meters beneath the ground while she protects him, they then find an underground city with a golden road, statues of king beasts everywhere, and a stone tablet at the end of it all. The MC and FMC wonder, What is this mysterious stone tablet? Then the MC notices it has a missing page, pulls the missing page out of his inventory, and the tablet glows. All it is, is a stone tablet that records the path of cultivation, the path to godhood! The End!.
